I am originally from Spain and I have lived in the United Kingdom for the past 28 years. I have worked in the tourism, education and translation sectors and have held a range of senior management positions.

Moreover, I have experience and a good understanding of the British Educational System and British Business Culture. I strongly believe that culture and language are inextricably linked and that complete understanding of a language cannot be achieved without a thorough knowledge of the culture from which it springs.

I have amassed over seventeen years significant and progressive experience within a variety of teaching, management and examination roles for Edexcel and Cambridge International Education. I am also an official DELE examiner for the Instituto Cervantes for A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 and C2 levels.

I am a native speaker of Spanish and Catalan; also a fluent French speaker. I consider that language learning has a vital part to play in equipping today’s school pupils for their future careers in a global marketplace.

I have a high level of experience in the British Educational System and British Business Culture, as I teach A-Level, GCSE, SIELE and DELE exam preparation classes, resulting in a large number of students graduating with the highest grades.

I possess a great sense of humour, a positive approach to life, along with a passion and drive to produce great results, with an insatiable appetite for continuous professional and academic development, great subject knowledge and pedagogic ideas.
