I have been honoured to receive two international education awards: the 2024 Visionaries Award at the Education 2.0 Conference in Dubai, and most recently the 2026 Excellence in Education Award at the Education 2.0 Conference in Las Vegas. Both recognitions celebrate my passion for creating meaningful language experiences that connect education, culture, travel, local history, and real human connection.
At the Education 2.0 Conference in Las Vegas, I received the 2026 Excellence in Education Award, a recognition of innovative, learner-centred teaching and of the work I do bringing language, culture, and real-life learning together. Standing on that stage, surrounded by educators and changemakers from around the world, was a proud and humbling moment.
This award reflects everything my students and I build together: the immersion programme in Menorca, personalised exam preparation, Business Spanish for professionals, and a way of teaching where the language is lived rather than memorised.

My journey with the Education 2.0 community began in Dubai, where I received the 2024 Visionaries Award. It recognised a vision of language education that goes beyond the classroom: connecting learners with culture, travel, tourism, local history, and genuine human connection.
Sharing my story on that stage, and celebrating alongside educators from every corner of the world, confirmed something I've always believed: the most powerful learning happens when language becomes part of life.
Awards are lovely to receive, but their real meaning lives in the classroom, at the kitchen table, and on the coastal paths of Menorca, wherever a student finds the confidence to speak. These recognitions belong as much to my students as they do to me.
If you'd like to experience the kind of learning these awards celebrate, I'd love to hear from you.
