That's why I built this program differently. In my home, there is no "off switch." From the first Buenos Días to the last Buenas Noches, you're surrounded by the Spanish language and culture, and the warmth of local life. A home. A teacher. A life lived in Spanish. This kind of immersion helps you move past language barriers and the fear of making mistakes, so speaking Spanish starts to feel more natural and confident.

Hi, I'm Mónica: your host, your teacher, your Spanish-speaking friend in Spain
I'm not a typical host family, and not a typical Spanish teacher either. I'm a certified native Spanish teacher with over 25 years of classroom instruction, and a corporate Spanish instructor training professionals for real-world business communication. I open my home in Menorca to language students from around the world, giving them total immersion guided by a teacher who actually knows how to teach, with daily interaction with native speakers that helps students develop authentic pronunciation and speech patterns.
Most homestays give you a room and a meal. Most language schools give you a desk and a textbook. I give you both, and so much more.
I have been honoured to receive two international education awards: the Visionary Award in Education at the Education 2.0 Conference in Dubai, and more recently, the Excellence in Education Award at the Education 2.0 Conference in Las Vegas.

One to four weeks. Even one week can be a great experience and show real progress; two to three weeks is the sweet spot.
Yes, a minimum of A2 level is required so we can hold real conversations from day one. You don't need to be advanced, but you should be past the absolute-beginner stage. I'll send a Spanish level test before you arrive to confirm your level and tailor your lessons.
Yes. The program is designed for one or two people learning together, a couple or two friends, in a focused small group setting with me, so you get plenty of personal attention. This keeps the experience social, motivating, and great value. (Solo bookings can be arranged on request.)
Those are wonderful destinations, and people often consider Spain, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Argentina for Spanish learners, since each country offers something different. Costa Rica appeals to many learners for its nature and welcoming environment, but with me you'll learn European Spanish and hear the different accents of Spain, hosted by a certified teacher in a real home rather than a school dorm, with the fun of learning through daily life outside a school environment. Each destination also brings its own mix of local history, accents, and cultural experience. Menorca also offers a beautiful city-and-island setting, with historic places like Ciutadella and a more personal home-based experience.
Authentic, home-cooked Menorcan cuisine and daily meals are part of the experience. Cooking classes are available, and dietary needs are accommodated.
